My afternoon with Rick Wakeman

When I am not tied up in a studio somewhere or relaxing on Brighton beach, you can find me lecturing at the London College of Music and Media in Ealing, London. Here I lecture on many different aspects of to those who come flocking in their masses to learn more about the art. With the amazing facilities and lecturers we have their we get guest speakers coming in from time to time to give special one-off classes. Today we were given the honor of having the man himself Rick Wakeman come in to give us his turn!

Prior to the event I met up with Rick to show him around the University's facilities, which included a tour of the numerous music studios and performance areas where he got a feel for the vibe and attitude of the University and the level of delivery we provide. He was truly taken back by the facilities and also the amount of things taking place at the University, wether it be performances in Vestry Hall or students mixing and recording in the studios. It was also great to sit down with Rick and have a chat about Analog Synths! Something I have a little bit of an un-healthy interest in as I have accumulated far too many in the past years. Then again, can you ever have too many synths.

Rick is such a nice guy, a gentleman in fact and after the event Rick was kind enough to give people photographs with himself.

Nice one Rick!
