bitbin (me) - Live Gig

Well it was my turn to hit the stage with my own solo music outfit - bit|bin as part of the London College of Music and Media's Electric Music Week.

For those of you who do not know, sometimes I produce and release music under the name bit|bin. So far I have an E.P. out on Herb Recordings which is currently about to be distributed by Cargo Records, so keep your ear out :) I have made some of the track on the EP for free download which are slightly edited, click on the image below and grab them!

The music I make is predominately electronic music incorporating a wide range of influences, sometimes delving into abstract pieces. It is a real break from working on other peoples music and allows me free range to explore what is going on in my head, which I find very therapeutic. Anyhow I took to the stage to give a performance for The London College of Music and Media's Electric Music Week which went down well. It was a simple set which saw myself grappling with a Laptop , a Microphone a Radio and a Keyboard blasting out a few of the tunes from my Alias E.P..

Thanks to all of you who came to the show
!

The only problem I have with watching people doing laptop sets is that the performer could quite simply be checking his/her emails whilst the music plays from a CD. I did ensure the crowd that I would be playing live and that I was not miming and that I was in fact 'performing'. I hope to include a live drummer in my next live show which is not scheduled until the end of the year where I will be playing in Spain at the Optica Festival which will be great. Let me know if anyone is going!
