Timeout - A week in Dorset

Ahhh, sun, sea, fresh air, good food and drink - sounds like Brighton, but Im talking about Dorset. Helen (my partner) and I were guests at a lovely little cottage at SeaHill. The cottage stands in a glorious position overlooking the sea with spectacular views to the south over Lyme Bay, Ridge Cliff and Golden Cap (the latter being the highest point on the south coast) and National Trust land, an area designated as being of outstanding natural beauty and recently appointed to World Heritage Status for the Jurassic coast. Just west of Seatown is Golden Cap, which at 191 metres boasts the highest sea cliff on the south coast.

As well as relaxing we did a great deal of walking around the coast we spent quite a bit of time digging for fossils. When I say dig, we didn't have to look far with it being the Jurassic Coast and all.

Thanks to Jane and the family for our time spent at SeaHill.
