Brick Lane Flash Music Festival
Imagine
this, walking around, doing your shopping, admiring
the scenery when suddenly a load of bands appear as
if from no-where and begin playing! Well that exactly
what happened this saturday 6th. After being tipped
of by Mr
Frogus Monkey that this event was happening I
thought it would be too good to miss and so I headed
back to London for the event! Unfortunately due to
London's amazing transport system I missed the
whole thing but caught up with the Capleilos
(now Kind and Country) whom performed at the
festival.
Apparently the whole thing went down a storm and they described how people who were out shopping, just suddenly stopped and froze as they couldn't believe what was happening. Around 10 bands/performers showed up for the event, with their guitars, accordions, mouth organs and drum kits to participate in what hopes to be something of a regular occurrence! Obviously there was no PA's, no electricity and no stages. The whole of Brick Lane (well between the Truman Brewery and the Market Place) was the stage.
